Well, calling it a party might be a stretch, but there is a little work to do before we can launch our Sunfish fleet. On Sunday (May 10) at 1:00pm, we’ll be performing an inspection of the Sunfish fleet at Windjammer Point, the goal of which is to make sure we have four good boats to launch on May 17.
We’ll be determining which of the nine Sunfish in our fleet are best suited to be launched, and we’ll make any repairs those boats might require, including replacing some of the sails with new canvas. Once we know which Sunfish we’ll be using this season, we may have to move some of the boats around (from their storage rack to the 4-boat trailer, or vice versa). This entire process shouldn’t take very long (an hour or two), and no experience is required. However, the more volunteers on hand to help, the easier (and faster) things will be. We hope some of you will be able to join us at the Windjammer Point Marina on the 10th.
